In June 2016, 14 students of
French at Rhodes College inaugurated the first intensive language and culture 4-week
summer term in Rennes, France, the capital of Brittany. They are
enrolled in the CIREFE, the French language center of the Université Rennes 2,
living with French host families, and experiencing the challenges and rewards of a
foreign language immersion designed to help them progress rapidly in French
while developing an informed understanding of French and Breton culture. Here, you'll find accounts of various facets of their experience--translated into English to share with their friends, families, and the Rhodes community!
